Missito College is a unique school offering students an excellent foundation in “applied ministry” training and experience.
There is no other program like Missito in the world. First of all, Missito is a fully functional ministry school with internationally renowned ministry instructors offering classes in bible, applied theology, evangelism, missions, prayer, worship, and many other related studies. Secondly, our church planting workshops, outreach programs, small group ministries, conferences, ministry team training groups, and overseas ministry trips allow students to gain invaluable, first hand, “applied ministry” experience. Students complete their degree, not just knowing “about ministry” but with invaluable, “hands on” ministry experience, as well.
This unique program is designed around a “we come to you” philosophy - allowing students to complete their studies without the need to leave their current job or home. How do we accomplish this? Through an innovative, multifaceted approach: 1). We offer our program through a group of “participating churches” located, normally within a few hours of one another. 2). Students attend one intensive, three-day equipping module per month (X10 per year) at one of these convenient locations. 3). Students prepare for these sessions and take additional classes using our online, “e-classes” and chat rooms. 4). Students serve as a part of the ministry team at the evening sessions of the monthly equipping weekends; which are open to the public. 6). Students attend a church planting or overseas missions trip once per year where we either help to plant an actual church or assist an already established mission effort overseas.
We offer over 200 Christian academic courses online and over 40 topics taught in person by renowned Christian teachers in our intensive weekend modules. However, “equipping” is far more than simply parroting knowledge. Our students are regularly involved in hands-on ministry endeavors specifically designed to give them actual experience in applying what they have learned.
This multifaceted approach provides students with the best possible training experience. The students receive quality classroom instruction. They enjoy first hand instruction at the weekend modules from some of the most sought after teachers in the Body of Christ today. They participate in many hands-on ministry experiences where they apply what they have learned. They are also able to interact with many other like-minded students and churches in their local region.
